Addressing some matters

Image
Greetings ponies and creatures alike, Culture Shock here. I know I haven't updated in quite some time. Heck, I still have episodes and comics to review in limbo for Luna's sake. But I wanted to come to you with a more pressing matter. Now, I know not a lot of you read these, and that's okay, but for those who have you've gotten to know a vague image of the man behind the pony. Generally speaking, I'm a down to earth and fun loving individual. I care for my friends and like to chat or enjoy pop culture. All positive qualities for a reviewer to have. But things go a little... deeper... than that. Recently, I got myself into some unwanted drama due to not wording things properly. I offended some amazing people and lost a few friends because of it. I won't go into details or names about it as to uphold anonymity. Those who know I hope understand how much I apologize and understand their decisions. I have made several promises in my life. I've promised to be a li...

Cultures Fandom Address

Image
Salutations readers and bronies alike. Welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews. Now, I know I usually start these things off with some cheerful introduction and a few rules of the blog. But, as this is not my typical material review or average general discussion I felt it necessary to keep things to the point. For those of you prone to emotional outbursts I implore you to have some tissues at the ready for today's topic might be a bit hard for some to accept given the current state of the fandom. That in mind here goes. So with the recent departure of Baltimore's esteemed Bronycon convention fans of MLP have been getting in gear for the upcoming finale of the series which was recently revealed in a trailer during the event. Now how fans in attendance reacted is up to the attendees and con staff. But, speaking from a social media standpoint, fans still aren't ready to let go. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has been a staple in many peoples lives for the past 9...

Culture's Thoughts: A nation Divided

Hey guys, Culture Shock here, your guide to all thing's pop cultural in Equestria and beyond. Normally I try to keep a chipper mood in my posts but as of lately, I've decided to tackle more serious issues out there instead. Just so I can get my opinion out there at the least. This next topic is partially something I've been mulling over in regards to the brony fandom. But at the same time it effects an greater scale than just fandoms. Before I get started I just wanna remind you all of a few rules. First off, all content within this blog is strictly the opinion of it's author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the general consensus. Lastly, if any of you notice ANY mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to alert me. With that in mind, let's get started. So at first this initial blog was going to be about depression and bullying within the fandom. Of course that can still be a general topic for another day, but I felt recently that the...

Image
Greetings to all my readers. I am Culture Shock, your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Now, originally I was supposed to be talkign about the topic of bullying in and out of the mlp fandom, and I still will. As a reminder, this will all be based on opinion rather than complete fact so please don't feel you aren't entitled to your own interpretation. This is merely my own thoughts on what's coming and what might come next. Now sit back and relax while we go over the biggest topic in MLP today. The series finale of Friendship is Magic. First of all, I wanted to cover the biggest part. As we now, 2019 has been in full circle and with it comes the start of season 9 of Friendship is magic. So far, the show's managed to stretch an mpressive length with 8 seasons already finished. As well its I...
