HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we look at an episode about facing what we fear most. Before we continue let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express opinion of its author. It does not nor should it ever reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said lets begin, shall we? Season 1 episode 7. Aptly titled "Dragonshy". Just reading the title makes you wanna dragon shout. Lets hope I don't take an arrow to the flank for this. As the title implies this episodes moral is played out by that pink haired angel, Fluttershy. As the element of kindness Fluttershy's biggest feature is her soft and gentle nature. If there's an animal in need she's there to lend a caring hoof. However, its also her biggest w...

Or as I prefer to call it " Revenge of the Bronies part 1 & 2 ". The story of how Princess Cadence met Captain of the Royal Guard Shining Armor. The classic tale of mismatched love in a high school setting. First off let me say I loved the sense of nostalgia in these issues. Writer Katie Cook and artist Andy Price blend their unique talents into an amaz...

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we'll be reviewing an episode about my least favorite personality trait. With that said let's move on, shall we? MLP s1e06: Boast Busters. Honestly, when I read this title I immediately thought of Ghostbusters. Just goes to show that Hasbro will sneak a reference anywhere. Who you gonna call? This biggest issue here is the episodes main focus. Boasting is a result of ones own lack of self - confidence. Sometimes we make up stories to avoid looking weak helpless. In Trixie's case it was to sell her show as a showmare. While storyt...

Things start to pick up nicely as the two find a c...

HELLOOO and welcome to Culture's Compendium of Reviews! As always I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we continue our look into the MLP comic universe. Before we continue let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express opinion of it's author. It does not nor should it ever reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if you notice any mistakes, be it a typo or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said let's move on, shall we? My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic issues 5 - 7. Also known as the Nightmare Rarity Arc. This also marks the first comic appearence of best pony and princess, Luna. It also helps answer a lot about her past dueing her banishment. I loved how Heather Kuhfer and Amy Mebberson came together for such a dramatic tale. However, I personally felt some of the dialogue was either forced or short. Though it didn't really hurt the story all too much. I...

Hello everypony... My apologies for the low mood but I felt it neccessary to post this. First off let me say as of right now and until further notice I will not be posting up any MLP series or comic reviews for some time. This is mainly due in part to both kisscartoon and readcomiconline being down. This does not mean I am closing shop. In fact I am still open for any and all special requests. You can either post suggestions  below or contact me on my facebook at Daniel Ray Douglas or my twitter @ Azraeldarxcross . As for my scheduling I usually will have mlp reviews every monday and wednesday so I will try to have unrelated reviews done every other day. Anyways guys just wanted to let my readers know what's going on so I'm not getting dogged with any "Where is..." questions. Don't forget to subscribe for future updates. And as always this is Culture Shock, your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond, saying KEEP CALM AND BRONY ON! PEACE! ...

HELLOOO and welcome to Culture's Compendium of Reviews! As always I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today I'll be reviewing a film dedicated to a favorite MMORPG of mine. Before we continue let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express opinion of its author. It does not nor should it ever reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typo or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said lets move on shall we? Warcraft the movie. The film based on the wildly popular World of Warcraft. Not a lot to really say about the film to be honest. This mostly due to the hype it was given during production. Firstly the films cast of characters were limited in the way of memorable names. Sure there a few but the majority were easily forgetable throughout the film. I myself had a hard time trying to recall any of them. The landscape in each scene is ...

HELLOOOO! Welcome to Culture's Compendium of Reviews! As always I'm Culture Shock. Your guide to everything cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today I'm firing another first at you but first let me go over the usual rules and formalities. First and foremost any and all opinions within this are strictly my own. They do not nor should not effect the majority opinions on the specific content it is about. If I happen to mispell anything or make any mistakes please feel free to leave a comment down below. With that out of the way lets move on to the review. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Annual 2013. The first sentence and its already a mouthful. Anyways this is the iconic precursor to what we know as the Equestria Girls anthology of films. To some it gave us an interesting chapter in the fourth generation of MLP. To others.... not so much. Personally since its the first comic I've read that wasn't fanmade I'm actually happy with it. While I can't speak for ...
