Warcraft....for Azeroth

HELLOOO and welcome to Culture's Compendium of Reviews! As always I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today I'll be reviewing a film dedicated to a favorite MMORPG of mine. Before we continue let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express opinion of its author. It does not nor should it ever reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typo or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said lets move on shall we?

Warcraft the movie. The film based on the wildly popular World of Warcraft. Not a lot to really say about the film to be honest. This mostly due to the hype it was given during production.

Firstly the films cast of characters were limited in the way of memorable names. Sure there a few but the majority were easily forgetable throughout the film. I myself had a hard time trying to recall any of them.

The landscape in each scene is a masterpiece worthy of an oscar. The only problem is you hardly have time to admire it as the jumps around scenes too much. That can also lose viewer interest in the movie.

Speaking of writers. Regretably since the film was directed from both Horde and Alliance perspectives you can barely follow the key storyline. Unlike Attack on Titan The Movie the action scenes leading up don't really make up for it. Sad really since the film is in english.

Considering the films ending and the unfinished finale its likely a sequel is in the works. Personally I feel Blizzard is better off sticking to the game. While the idea for a movie sounded great on paper I don't think they really succeeded with it. If anything they could just do a 3D animated film instead.

Alright! That's my review on Warcraft the movie. Honestly I didn't fully enjoy the film to reccomend it. If there IS a sequel I might just reconsider. Overall I give Warcraft a heartbreaking 6 / 10. I hope you guys enjoyed this review. Be sure to leave a like if you did and feel free to leave a suggestion in the comments for a future review. Also be sure to subscribe for updates.
