Episode 14: Suited for Success...Does this make my butt look big

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I'm Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review we get dolled for a strut down the catwalk. Before we continue, let me lay out the rules. Firstly, all contents in this blog are the express opinions of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Episode 14: Suited for Success is the second episode leading up to the season 1 finale. The first episode, The Ticket Master, marked the start of the countdown. In this episode Rarity volunteers to make each pony an outfit to really make them stand out.

I like how this episode tackles a major issue in any line of work. Critiques. Companies always put their hooves to the grind when pleasing customers. Sometimes however things don't always go well and the business has to pay the price. A bad review can make or break a company in an instant.

Surprisingly, this episode managed two lessons in the span of a single episode. In Raritys case, don't bite off more than you can chew. Being generous is a good thing and can brighten someponies day. But when you become too generous you overwhelm yourself easily. The other 5's lesson, compromise. Sometimes what we need isn't always what we want. Be happy with what you get and don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Now the ending to this episode was easily to swallow. The beginning....not so much. The musical number just annoyed me. And the way it all just drug out so much was torture. Thankfully the ending was decent enough to save the episode.

Alright! This concludes my review of Suited for Success. Not my favorite episode by a long shot. I only recommend it if you can handle uber fashion. I give Suited for Success a displeasing 7 / 10. Hope you guys the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also don't forget to follow for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments below.
