My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic issues 30 & 31

In todays review its to pick sides and prepare for war. Before we continue lets review the rules. Firstly, all contents within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

MLP: FiM issues 30 & 31 combines the efforts of writer Christina Rice and veteran artist Agnes Garbowska to tackle Ponyville's own cultural celebration. Though to speak frankly both chapters seem more similar to Captain America: Civil War than MLP. Oh joy.

There wasn't all that much appealing about these issues. Though I will admit seeing a bit of Ponyvilles colonial history and culture is always pleasant. And the pie fight did add some comedic humor.

The lesson in this 2 parter is small yet simple. Teamwork. No one pony can do the job of a whole town. It takes strong bonds and lasting friendships to weather any storm. A lesson well learned for the toen of Ponyville.

Now keep in mind that I don't like to nitpick. But honestly...the opening issue could have gone better. The opening dialogue was forced and the character focus jumped WAY too much. And most of all the pacing was just slow and dull. Kinda surprised I'm still awake to write this.

Alright! This concludes my review of issues 30 & 31. Not quite the best of the best issues for me. I recommend checking out other issues before picking these up. I give Ponyville Days a 6 / 10.
