Top 5 Best Episodes of Season 3

HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your Guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we're counting up both the best and worst episodes of season 3. However, there are a few rules to go over before we can get started. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it EVER, reflect the overall opinion the fandom. Lastly, if ANY of you notice ANY mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please do not hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Just a heads up beforehand, this list will not follow any specific order and should not be taken seriously. I encourage to produce your own responses as I am eager to see who might have felt similar. With that said, let's begin part one of finales weekend:

Top 5 Best Episodes:

1. Episode 3: Too Many Pinkie Pies-
Biased opinion aside, I loved how this episode portrayed how one can often bit off more than one can chew when trying to make friends happy. Sure it's a nice gesture, but in the end it can also cause more problems than needed. In Pinkies case, she got so worried about keeping everyone happy but she often tries to go overboard in doing so and that can cause some much unneeded problems for the town and it neighbors. In the end, however, things end up working out for the best in an unconventional way.

2.Episode 4: One Bad Apple-
So far, one of my favorite pre - mark CMC episodes thus far. Funny dialog and it tackles such a serious issue as well. It basically showed how bullying can have it's own negative effects more than a positive ones. And more often then not the bully will end up the butt of a cruel joke. But, as the episode explains, the best way to handle a bully in the family is to find an adult and get help.

3.Episode 6: Sleepless in Ponyville-
By far an impressive episode. A deeply heartfelt story about hiding behind a false bravado out of pure fear that the people you most idolize will thing less of you. In the end, though, it teaches us that fear is nothing to be ashamed off. The hardest part is overcoming it and for some, Scootaloo in this case, that means seeking help from the most unlikely of sources. Rainbow Dash plays a great part as the older sister to Scootaloo in this episode and, of course, Luna's role as the wise elder in this episode was a perfect touch and was the nudge that the episode needed to make such a touching and heartfelt ending.

4. Episode 7: Wonderbolt Academy-
I applaud this episode most of all because it legitimately puts Rainbow Dash's character in her place by pitting her against an almost mirror image of herself. Not only does it force her to re - evaluate her goals in life, but it also seems to have her second guessing herself and her own approaches to life. What's more it shows a lot of character in Dash by having her choose her own morals over her life long dreams. It sets in motion a nice change of pace for ponies involved and eventually shows that Dash has grown with age. Though as we all know that never really lasts long enough.

5. Episode 10: Keep Calm and Flutter On-
Now, the reason I mostly picked this one was slightly due to fan favoritism as compared to Starlights or even Sunsets reformations from villain to hero. The rest of the reason is most because this is the bottom of the barrel in regards to good episodes. Though I will give Hasbro their dues. They really wanna push that Fluttercord ship like they do with LyBon and Derpy Whooves.
