My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Issues 15 and 16

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review we take an adventure through the literary land of imagination. Before we continue let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express opinion of its author. It does not nor should it ever reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said let's move on, shall we?

Issues 15 & 16 mark the return of writer Heather Nuhfer and artist Amy Mebberson. Blending together a combination of colorful art and immersive writing they manage to bring life not only to our heroines but also to some iconic literary classics as well. Some of which include Robin Hood, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, and even Harry Potter. They even manage a few nods at a Star Trek novelization, classic detective stories, and many others. Thats a big plus in my book.

The moral of these issues is something anyone can relate too. Don't always think you have to follow the same story as everyone else. Sometimes a little imagination can go a long way. It took nearly losing everything for Twilight to see how powerful creativity can be.

Now I can't really say I found issues here but there was something that puzzles me. Twilight Sparkle, the most well read unicorn, didn't know about imagination. I mean we're talking about the pony who got Rainbow Dash to read. Granted she mostly read encyclopedia's, reference guides, and spellbooks but still.

Alright! That's my review of issues 15 and 16. Definitely had fun with this one and I'm already looking forward to the next issue. I reccomend this to anyone in need of an imagination inspiration. I give both these issues a combined 9 / 10. I hope you guys enjoyed this review. Be sure to leave a like if you did and if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments below.
