Deadpool the movie

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestri and beyond. Today we review a film that not only broke the bank but also the 4th wall. Before we continue, let me lay out the ground rules. Firstly, all content in this blog is the express written opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be ot typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's move on. Shall we?

Deadpool the movie. Yes Marvel fans rejoice. As of its release last year the merc with a mouth has his own film. Being a fan of both Deadpool and Marvel comics this made my year.

The film chronicles the pivotal origin of Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson. Actor Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as the foul-mouthed antihero in this stand- alone film. Fans will recall Reynolds originally played an unmasked Deadpool in the first Wolverine film. Honestly though, I think this film did our antagonistic protaganist a lot more in the end.

One thing to note about this is the difference in his story. Originally Wade was drafted into the weapon x program alongside fomer colleague Logan( Wolverine) . In the film Wade is diagnosed with late stage cancer. After his diagnosis Wade is approached by a man offering a cure. Initially unsure Wade eventually accepts only to find himself the test subjecy of a mad doctor. The result? Cancer cured and a face thay looks like a road pizza.

Now being a fan of Deadpool it was hard to not find faults in this film. Unfortunately...I found 2. Firstly, there were some missing and inconsistent details about his character. They don't impact the movie largely but its still worth pointing out. And finally, the backlash. At least a week after its release rumors spread about a petition to make a more "pg" rated version of the film. As much as I support morals no one would pay to see a film about end credits.

Alright! That concludes my review of Deadpool. Definitely a must see for fans but not for young audiences. I recommend this highly to all Deadpool fans. I give Deadpool the movie a 9.5 / 10.
