Episode 13: Fall Weather Friends....falls well that ends well

HELLOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review we saddle up for the start of ponytona 500. Before we continue, let me lay out the usual rules. Firstly, all content within this blog is the express opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Episode 13: Fall Weather Friends is an episode dedicated to competition between friends. Since the shows beginning we've seen small competitive flames bud between the element of honesty Applejack and the element of loyalty Rainbow Dash. Funny when you consider they get shipped so much.

My honest favorite part was Pinkie and Spikes color commentating. Good to see of humor added to old school race commentating. Another part I loved was the scenery. As fans recall the Everfree Forest has been a stable back drop to Ponyville. Unlike its ruthless neighbor though, Whitetail Woods gives a more rustic and Countryfied tone to everything. Nice to watch when not running from mutated wildlife.

The moral of this episode can easily fit any competition. Don't let competition ruin what you have. Aj and Dash had become so focused on one - upping each other that they were quick to judge the other. Thankfully, in the end they learned a valuable lesson. Its not about who won but its having fun with friends.

As decwnt as the episode was it wasn't hard to find a few blemishes. One being a bit personal. First off, the scenery during races end. If you stop the episode in time you notice the audience is layered to create a more crowd like image. Though I give credit to the act I can't help but call it bad animation. And lastly...Celestias snarky expression at the end. Normally I'd blame dash for her attitude but just the pretentious air she walked with makes me want to slap M. A. Larson with a ball bat.

Alright! This concludes my review of Fall Weather Friends. A decent episode with a ton of laughs. I moderately recommend this to any fans of AppleDash out there. I give episode 13 a 9 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed this review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also don't forget to follow my blog for more updates. Got a suggestion for a future review? Leave it in a comment below.
