Beauty, Books, and Butterflies by Rough_Draft

Beauty, Books, and Butterflies is a TwiShy shipfic written of course by Rough_Draft. Set sometime after the first EQG film, the story follows Twilight Sparkle on journey to find true love. With Twilight still adjusting to her new title, Rarity decides to help her find a special somepony. Of course, when that somepony turns out to be Fluttershy awkward moments are sure to follow. Will their love survive? Or will it crash under the pressure?

Okay, so this was the first TwiShy fic I honesstly ever read since coming to the fandom. Of course, since then there's been many more. But this, by far, was my all time favorite. Partly because of how it took 2 ships, TwiShy and Flashlight, and just made this epically dramatic love story from them both. An amazing accomplishment by amateur writer Rough_Draft.

This story plays heavily on the struggles of love. How for every obstacle there's always a greater challenge just around the corner. But that's what makes it true love. Nothing worth fighting for is ever easy but it also doesn't mean you're fighting alone.

I think my favorite part from this is how most of the chapters find new ways to play on the readers emotions. That's a sign of a strong and engaging story that can leave readers wanting more. That being said there is an alternative "What if?" story you could check out titled Our Lady's Courtship. Which I'll likely review at a later date. That aside, this story is truly an emotional roller coaster of love fit for any reader.

Alright! This concludes my review of Beauty, Books, and Butterflies. A great introduction to TwiShy shipping. And a well recommended festival of feels for others. I give this fic a 10 / 10.
