First off, before I get too far in. I want to assure all my readers that this in no way is meant target specific people, or otherwise. I intend for this to be a educational lesson to help others grow and overcome the subject at hand. If you or anyone you know suffers from it I.implore you to read on for some helpful information in your fight to overcome this critical issue. And now to shed some light on one of the life threatening issues in the world today, depression.
Depression, as of late, has become a major issue in the face of todays fragile society. To date, it's been the leading cause of suicide involving young adults. Usually onset by peer pressure at school or at home. And can even be caused by a broken home or a traumatic event.
To put it in simple terms, depression is a mental disease that prays on its victims darkest moments. Feeding off that pain like a voracious predator. Leaving nothing more than an empty husk adrift in an endless sea of darkness.
If you look close enough at someone, you can often make out the telltale signs of someone spiraling into depression. Though more often than not. It becomes more clearer once the victim reaches the physical stage of it. Which can include things such as the loss of or increase in ones appetite, fatigue, loss of stamina, and sudden aches, pains, or nausea. Which can then lead to low self - esteem, physical mutilation, or worse.
In conclusion, depression is a never ending battle. But it's not one you have to fight alone. Somewhere in your life there are friends, family, and loved ones willing to help you or just listen when you need them most. And beyond that are countless professionals and outreach programs that can help you overcome your depression. Remember, no matter how hard things get there's always a silver lining
