[Season 2] Episode 20: It's About Time...we got here
HELLOOO everybody and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we learn you gotta make time to break it. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lasty, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
It's About Time is the 20th episode of season 2 and the 46th episode overall. Written by M. A. Larson himself, the episode focuses on Twilight be her studious, yet stressful, self. After receiving a cryptic message from the future, Twilight goes into a panic trying to solve it's mystery. Before whatever it is occurs. Will she solve the riddle? Or will time be her undoing?
Alright. For all fair reasons, I'll admit this episode was well played on Larsons part. The conveyed message and Twilights nervous breakdowns in a way remind me of myself when I have a scheduling crisis. And let me tell you. It's not a pleasant experience.
The best way to interpret the lesson here is simple. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't let yourself get worked up over every little detail. It just makes things worse in the long run. And no one wants to deal with THAT disaster.
As much as I wanna hate this episode, I can't. While I may not enjoy ALL of Larsons ideas and motives I feel there are sometimes his jabs are more good natured than bad. Like how this episode warns about how stressing too much can lead to.big problems in the end. Though if I must say anything its this. Pinkie Pie + Spandex = Best. Dream. EVERRRR!!!!
Alright! This concludes my review of It's About Time. A good episode with a smart reminder. I reccomend this to all my more paranoid readers. I give this episode 9.5 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments section down below.
