My Little Pony: Friends Forever issue #5

HELLOOO everybody and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! Ass always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we listen closely to the call of the wild. Before we begin, however, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Friends Forever #5 is the 5th issue of the 3rd IDW comic series. Written by writer Thomas Zahler and drawn by artist Tony Fleecs, the story pairs the ever so timid Fluttershy with the often mysterious Zecora as they try to solve a strange development. After discovering her animals strange behavior, Fluttershy seeks Zecora's aide to rectify the problem and hopefully solve it. But when a loud mouth Racoon says too much Fluttershy decides to find the truth out herself. But will she like what she finds out?

This comic was DUUUULLLL. I mean. I'll give it's kind of fun if you're a Dr. Dolittlle fan and all. What with the animals suddenly speaking english and all. But the whole comic lacked pizzaz and had drolling on through nothing more than migraine inducing rhymes with a somewhat obvious plot.

I'm not really sure what kind of lesson could come from this. I mean I guess you could say kindness is a universal language that connects all livung things. Both big and small. And helps us learn things we never really knew about each other.

So, not all of this is bad. I did sorta like Fleecs's old school cartoonish artstyle. I just brightens story up a whole lot more than anything else. But beyond that, there's not really any wow factor to this comic. Annd that makes it such a disappointing read rather than an exciting adventure.

Alright! This concludes todays comis review. This is a great comic. To recommend mostly as a sleep aide.... otherwise just skip it. I give this issue a 5 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments section down below.
