Double Rainboom

HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we go over a first ever fanmade episode. However, before we get started there are a few rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice ANY mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Double Rainboom was a first ever fanmade episode created by Zachary Rich, aka FlamingoRich. Distributed through the Savannah College of Art and Design, the story follows Rainbow Dash on a cross dimennsional adventure. After ingesting a talent enhancer Rainbow Dash attempts to make history with her first ever double rainboom. A feat which strands across dimensions. Can Twilight and the others save her? Or will Dash be trapped forever?

Okay, I wanna start this out by flat out saying I wasn't very impressed. Not that it was a terrible episode mind you. A lot of the animation was spot on and the voice acting was nearly similar. I just think it sorta fell short of its goal.

I will admit that it had an impressive moral. Think before you act. Anything you do can have a huge impact on the future. So be careful, consider all your options first, and don't take what isn't yours.

There where numerous reasons why this was less than impressive. Most of which involved crossover animation, audio, music, and forced refrences. That aside, however, I will give Zachary Rich for coming as close as he did. But at the same time I think it's best said that some jobs should be left to the professionals.

Alright! This concludes my review of Double Rainboom. All - in - all an okay episode but not something I'd readily recommend. I give this fanmade episode a 4 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review.
