My Little Pony: Friends Forever Issue #10

HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we learn how to get in touch with our innermost feelings so we can better control or anger when the situation calls for it. However, there are a few rules to go over before we can get started. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of it's author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, If any of you notice ANY mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Friends Forever #10 is the 10th issue of IDW Publishing's 2nd spin - off comic series. Written by Christina Rice and accompanied by artist Agnes Garbowska, the story pairs self helps conman Iron Will with the buttercream Pegasus Fluttershy as they journey to find Will's "inner pony". After getting kicked out by the Mrs. Iron Will comes to Fluttershy seeking help on for his problems. Being the kind pony she is, Fluttershy accepts and the two embark on a montage of anger management and social development. But when all else fails can Fluttershy pull through and help solve Iron Wills problems? Or will his temper get the better of them?

I'd like to take a moment just to appreciate how this issue managed to stretch this issue for 20 pages before they finally dropped the simplest solution to solving any problem. Just talking about it. But I get it. They had to fill 23 pages with something so they through random and pointless scenes in for a reason. I just feel sorry for thos poor Ponies and animals frightened in the making of this issue. Then again, Garbowska's artwork really portrayed the rage when Angel threw the salad at poor Iron Will. Classic teapot scenario.

Granted, I will give the issue it's merit for the lesson at hand. And I quote, there's a time and place to be assertive. But there's also a time to be a good role model to your kids. Help teach them to be more cooperative with their elders and to keep their own rage in check when it needs to be. In other words, learn to set a good example for the youth of today and so they can build a bridge to a better tomorrow.

I think I've pretty much dealt with my discrepancies regarding this issue. While I find a lot of the scenes hilarious to look at, I feel it was more of waste to beat around the obvious solution. Had Fluttershy and Will just discussed the situation in the first place the issue would have ended a lot better for them and everypony else involved. Let's hope the next issue more than makes up for it.

Alright! This concludes my review of todays issue. A loud of laughs in some ways yet too long for this reviewers taste to be honest. Read at your own will. I give issue 10 a 4 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments section down below.
