Past Sins by Pen Stroke

HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we learn how even the greatest evils can make the biggest changes. However, there are a few rules to go over before we get started. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Past Sins is a dark SoL story written by Pen Stroke. Set in an AU, the story follows a reborn Nightmare Moon as she struggles to find her true identity. When a dark cult threatens to ressurect the fallen Nightmare Moon Twilight is captured as part of the ritual. But when the spell backfires things take a strange turn. What comes out if it is anyones guess. But what of the strange alicorn filly, Nyx. Is there more to her than just a twist of fate? Or is it just a strange case of coincidence?

Sweet Tartarus, what can I NOT say about this work of written art? The story was fantastic. The characters were incredible. And most of all the whole story was a river of rampant emotioons. All stitched into well written tapestry. All ffor a majestic tale of personal quests.

I think honestly my most favorite part was how it talked about one's past. Mostly on how you should never let it rule you. Your past is behind you. You just have to stay focused on what lies ahead of you on your road to becoming a better person.

My ONLY complaint is that I feel the chapter piqued a few chapters earlier than it should have. Personally, I felt Nyx's final redemption would have made an even greater ending. But, while it wasn't quite that, the ending managed to fit in rather well. Regardless of some snakes, and readers, might have felt.

Alright! This concludes my review of Past Sins by Pen Stroke. Truly a post - apocolyptic story of emotions and deeper pains worth a strong recommendation from yours truly.
