[Season 3] Episode 4: One Bad Apple... can ruin them all
HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we discuss how to take the bull out of a bully. However, there are a few rules to go over before we get started. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
One Bad Apple is the 4th episode in season 3 and the 56th episode overall. Written by Cindy Morrow, this episode was the 1st official appearance of Babs Seed since her cameo in season 1. When their newest member joins the bad side the CMC are left in fear of the new bully, Babs Seed. Finally at their limit, the girls cook up plan to get even. But when the truth about Babs comes out can the girls fix their mistake before it's too late?
I am surprisingly well intrigued with this episode and all it had to offer. Normally, early CMC episodes fall just short of my radar so I rarely invest in them. This episode was both comedic and well informative. And the soundtrack "Bad Seed" had a wonderfully catchy tunr to it.
Morrow also did an excellent job in best describing the lesson in this episode. It's never fun to bully people. It can cause deep wounds that often never heal or worse. If you or anyone you know is getting bullied then get help. Whether it's from a teacher or anyone else. Sometimes doing the right thing is better than not doing anything at all. And it can save more than a persons day.
As much as I wanna pick it apart. There's just nothing bad in this episode. The message is we relatable, the story is interesting, and you could dance to the main soundtrack. All in all, this episode far surpasses any others before it and sets a high standard for what's to come.
Alright! This concludes todays review. A diamond in the rough worth my recommendation. I give this episode a 10 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did.
