[Season 3] Episode 6: Sleepless in Ponyville.... 1, 2 Freddies comin for you

HELLOOO EVERYBODY and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays review, we learn how all we have to fear is fear itself. However, there are a few rules to go over before we get started. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of it's author. It does not, nor should it EVER, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice ANY mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, please don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Sleepless in Ponyville is the 6th episode of season 3 and the 58th episode overall, Written by Corey Powell, this episode deals strongly with ones deepest fears. During a sisterly camping trip to Winsome Falls Scootaloo struggles to keep her cool around her idol Rainbow Dash. But when her nightmares start haunting her during the day Scootaloo starts to the pressure bearing down on her. Can she overcome her fears? Or will the advice of a certain princess be what saves the day?

I can't thank this episode enough. I'm impressed with it. Powell's heartfelt story really well portrayed the underlined lesson in this episode. And seeing Scootaloo bond so well Rainbow Dash was a beautiful sight. Mostly because it manages to show a flawed side to the blue daredevil as well as a soft and caring side too. Not to mention the two have such a perfect synchronization as a duo that one could almost believe Scootaloo really was Dash's sister.

Right now, I feel I relate to this episodes moral about facing ones fears head on. Instead of just running from them. Because the more you try to hide them the harder it can be to open up when the time comes. Don't be afraid to share what scares you most with others. Telling you friends about it is the first step to being a stronger you and forging a stronger future ahead of you.

To be perfectly honest, I have no qualms with this episode. Fanboying aside, I think Luna played a perfect part in helping Scootaloo overcome her need to look cool in front of Rainbow Dash. Not to mention, given recent events, I feel the lesson in this episode is a perfect metaphor given how the community in itself is often afraid of what's coming next or what's in store for their favorite show and / or the fandom itself. I thank you Corey Powell for showing me that I don't have to fear what comes next and that just cuz I am afraid it doesn't mean I have to let it rule me. That being said I look forward for what's in store in the next episodes to come.

Alright! This concludes my review of Sleepless in Ponyville. Definitely an episode everyone needs to see here lately and worth my biggest recommendation. I give this episode a 10 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. e sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments section down below.
