My Little Pony Micro - Series #9: Spike

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we learn how with great pets comes great responsibility. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of it's author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't heaitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Micro - Series #9 is the ninth installment of IDW's mini - series. A collaboration between writer Rob Anderson and artist Agnes Garbowska, this issue features Spike as he takes on a little more than he can handle. After feeling left out Spike decides he's ready to be a pet owner and orders a colony of Sea Beasts. Will Spike succeed? Or has he bitten off more than he can chew?

Okay. So we've got more Spike to deal with. I can't reall complain though. He does seem and grow more as a dragon in this episode. Which really is a huge step in his character as opposed to his attitude through most of the series.

The biggest lesson from this has to be that there are no shortcutcuys to success. It takes great effort and a steady patience to achieve a goal. After all, good things come to those who wait.

Not really an exciting read tbh. Spike, for what it's worth, isn't one of the best characters to write a comic around. At least not on his own. But I will give him this one. That and I'm pretty sure some fans cried when Twilight praised Spike for returning Peewee to the wild. Rip little buddy. You were taken away too soon.

Alright! This concludes my review of Micro - Series #9. Not the most exciting issue, but it does have some positives. Read it or not but I do recommend it to all my readers. I give this issue a mellow 8 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review?
