Top 5 things to expect from Legends of Equestria
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we go over 5 things to look out for when playing Legends of Equestria. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you see any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. Reminder, this list does not follow any specific order. And should only be taken with a grain of salt. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
As many of you already know, recently, the long awaited game, Legends of Equestria, finally released its open access on September 10th of this year. Needless to say, the servers were flooded with players on the first day. Though not everyone has had their chance to do so. Today, I'll be going over 5 things all new players and even old players should expect when accessing the game. Note, this WILL have a few spoilers for those of you still waiting. I suggest you download the game before reading this list. With that said, let's move on:
1. Limited Character Options-
So now that you've registered your account and picked your server the next step is designing your character. This can be a bit tricky for some players. Especially those with unique OC's, like myself. Originally the game was designed with only the 3 main pony tribes in mind. Earth, pegasus, and unicorn. So hybrid OC's and Alicorns are a no go. What's even more is the rest of the customization is standard so your limited to how your pony can look in the game. And though there are SOME work arounds it's still almost impossible to stand out among others.
2. Laggy Servers-
So this is a big issue you'll have to face when playing the game. Server lag is commonly caused by outdated software, overstocked player capacity, or occassional maintenance. The developers have stressed that while the game is up and running they're still working on the official final product. That being said, be sure to expect the occassional lag or disconnection when you're playing.
3. Glitches-
Just like server lag, the game is still susceptable to occassional glitches when playing. This is mostly related to delayed or unresponsive action commands. Never the less, one should still expect these to occassionally pop up when playing.
4. Lengthy Quests-
A common annoyance in any game has and always will be drawn out quests. These are quests that usually lead the player on a wild goose chase around most of the map(s). And can even be sub - quests from previously completed ones. Though, the main reason for this is to make the game more immersive and to help the player explore the map more.
5. It can be ADDICTING-
So my final point is the most obvious thing to expect. Like any game, Legends of Equestria is a fully immersive experience that takes players on an exciting journey. This can also eat into a lot of your day. Try to plan your time wisely so your not on too long. Or at least learn your limitations. Players can often lose track of things when they get to into a game. This can impact ones social life and health drastically.
