[Season 2] Episode 13: Baby Cakes...baby cakes, bakers man
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we learn how responsibility is a two way street. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is experessly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
Baby Cakes is the 13th episode of Season 2 and the 39th episode overall. Written by Charlotte Fullerton, the episode features Pinkie Pie as she babysits the newborn cake foals. After a rush delivery sends the cakes out of town, Pinkie is left to babysit their newborn foals. But she soon finds out it's a lot more than she can handle. Can she manage to keep things in one piece? Or will she crack under the pressure?
Well, here we are with yet another Pinkie episode. As well as the first episode related to child birth. What's more is it's one the first that shows a more mature side to Pinkie. Rather than just her carefree childlike spirit.
I think Pinkie Pie said it best when she said being a caregiver more than just being a playmate. It's a huge responsibility. One where you have to put the needs of those who trust you above your own. But most of all, it's nothing to be taken lightly.
I loved the small bits of satire in this episode. And I also enjoyed Pound and Pumpkins playful attitudes. Though my favorite was the heartwarming ending.
Alright! This concludes my review of Baby Cakes. A sweet and hilarious episode fit perfectly for family entertainment. I definitely recommend this to all my Pinkie fans. I give this episode a 10 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review?
