My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic issue # 54
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. In todays issue we're rolling up our sleeves for a lesson in obedience courtesy of the cottontail himself. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic issue # 54 is a slice - of - life issue made by writer Rob Anderson and artist Jay Fosgitt. Set during the events of the episode Fluttershy Leans In, issue 54 is written from the perspective of Fluttershy's companion, Angel Bunny. In the story, Angel is left in charge of a group of stray animals from a local veterinary clinic while Fluttershy oversees the animal sanctuaries construction. When his usual methods prove to be less than ineffective he's forced to seek help from his own close friends and the CMC to keep things under control. Can this ragtag group manage to keep things organized? Or will it prove too much for them to handle?
Okay so I don't really have any negatives or positives with this issue. Slice - of - life materials usually aren't known for exciting content. Like this issue it's usually meant for nothing more than filler by itself so content creators can fill time and make quotas. I'll admit it served its purpose well and was mildly entertaining. But at at the end of the day you can't really fill a review with nothing.
Not really sure what the exact lesson in the issue is but if I had to guess I'd say it's gotta be that no one person can take on the world. It takes the help of close friends and family to get anywhere. And even then you won't have it easy. But if all goes well the end result is well worth the challenge.
Alright! This concludes my review of issue # 54. An okay read at best. I really only recommend it if you have the time to kill. I give issue # 54 a 6 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also don't forget to stay tuned for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments below. This is Culture Shock, your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond, saying KEEP CALM AND BRONY ON! PEACE!
// Message to my readers: Next week I will be putting my comic reviews on hold for two weeks. My season 1 reviews are coming to a close soon so I'll be taking a brief hiatus before tackling season 2. Unless of course issues 55 & 56 are released by then. If so then things will proceed as normal. I will be posting more details on my planned break as throughout the next two weeks so stay tuned. Thank you and have a lovely night. //
