My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we take another trip down memory lane as we visit a fesitive time from yesteryear. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas was a direct - to - DVD animated film produced by SD Entertainment in October of 2005. It was the film return of the popular toy franchise since 1986. The story is set in Ponyville, the G3 version, and focuses around Minty. A lovable mint green earth pony with a sock fascination. After accidentally breaking the " Here Comes Christmas " candycane Minty takes it upon herself to bring christmas to Ponyville. But can she weather the elements to fix her mistake?

First off let me just say...I loved this movie. The artistic style of the scenery truly gave off a joyous and festive feel with so many bright a beautiful colors. All while the music was coreographed perfectly to the story.

I think what also made it so enjoyable were the characters. Each one had having their own quirk that just madr the even more special. Of course my favorite had to be the protagonist, Minty. Who voiced by none other than Tabitha St. Germain. Most known as the voices of Rarity, Princess Luna, Granny Smith, Mrs. Cake, and many more.

There were some complications I had with film. Or rather one. The character of Rainbow Dash. The fact that a tomboy athlete like Dash once had the voice of the aristocratic Rarity is just scary. Though not entirely bad.

Alright! This concludes my review of My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas. Definitely an improvement from the last one. I highly recommend to old and new fans. I give this film a 9 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in the comments below.
