Top 5 Favorite Episodes of MLP Season 1
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we'll be going over our top 5 favorite episodes of Season 1. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. Also, this will not be in any specific order. It's primarily 5 hoof picked episodes among the highest ratings. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
With the conclusion of my season 1 reviews at hand I felt it was time I gave you readers my first top 5 favorite episodes list. These episodes were picked primarily on rating and general appeal. Note that I WILL be posting a top 5 worst episodes list in a seperate blog after this. So be sure to keep an eye out for that. With that said here are My Top 5 Favorite Episodes of MLP Season 1:
1. Griffon The Brush Off-
This episode was special to me mainly for its motivational theme. Griffon the Brush Off was about cuz it focuses on bullying and how it can damage relationships. It also teaches viewers about how friends will always be there to protect you from any threat. Even if it's a loud mouth buzzard who can't be her real self around others.
2. Dragon Shy-
This episode got a high rating primarily for two reasons. The character it focused on and the lesson it teaches viewers. Fluttershy is one of my favorite characters in MLP because of her cute, shy, and all around friendly nature. Seeing her progression that timid quivering pegasus she was has been a blessing. And the episodes lesson about facing your fears and conquering what lies ahead just fits Fluttershys character really well.
3. Feeling Pinkie Keen-
I loved this episode. The humor and satire in it just had me laughing. The combination of Pinkie and Twilight antics had me laughing the whole way through. An episode worthy of a perfect score.
4. Stare Master-
Okay so once again another Fluttershy related episode. Biased. I know. BUT, I also picked this episode because of it's main lesson about how he even the most frightened people can be a hero. All they need is the right motivation for the job.
5. Party of One-
Aside from this being a Pinkie episode I really liked the way this episode tackled its primary issue. It spoke volumes about sometimes the most positive of people can suffer the deepest issues. At the same time the episode is also best known for giving birth to the iconic creepypasta, Cupcakes.
Alright! This concludes part 1 of my top 5's this week. I'll be posting up the next part shortly entitled " Top 5 Worst Episodes of MLP Season 1 ". Stay tuned.
