Cultures Contemplations: A not so neet Peet

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we discuss a not so nice example of how not to brony. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Okay, to start this off let me first say this. I am not a spiteful person by nature. Often times I do get agitated and do get myself in certain situations. But I usually try to stay nice and friendly with everyone. Unless you happen to be this person.

Lily Peet, or rather Jerry Peet as most call him, is a youtuber best known for their mlp related content. Most of which consists of reviews and general discussions regarding key points related to MLP or its fandom. But most of all, they're known for their controversial regarding other members of the fandom.

One such incident that's drawn a lot of attention was related to an art piece done by on Animechristy, aka Sapphire Heartsong. In it the alleged Lily Peet had been accused of art theft when they refused to credit Sapphire for her work. After being called out, Lily retaliated by stating Sapphire was no more drama queen and that they didn't have to credit something they barely used. This, of course, forced Sapohires hand and caused her to back out before things got worse. Which was pointless considering how her friends instigated the #respecttheartist movement not long after.

Understandably, I know a fandom survives when both their negative and positive aspects coexist in a peaceful cycle of harmony. Like how light can't exist without darkness. But in my professional opinion I feel that fans like Lily only serve to disrupt that cycle. All for their own sick amusement.

In conclusion, I have some advice for the great Lily Peet. And I do hope this gets to you. Having an opinion is okay and all. But when you try to pass it of as the cold hard truth, you do nothing but stroke your own ego at the expense of other peoples sanity. My advice is to straighten up and treat others with more respect. Otherwise, you'll end up alone in a sea of nothingness where not even horsefame can save you.

Alright! This concludes todays topic. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review?
