My Little Pony Micro - Series #7: The Cutie Mark Crusaders
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we go an adventure in friendship with our favorite filly trio. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
Micro - Series #7 is the seventh issue of its series. A collaboration between writer Ted Anderson and artist Ben Bates, the issue follows the CMC on a day unlike any other. The story picks up with the girls trying to enjoy their summer vacation. The only problem? They had nothing to do. Undeterred, the trio set off in search of adventure. Plans change however after they stumble upon a strange creature in an underground cave. Can the CMC help the young creature be the best she can be? Or will their selfish desires drive her away?
So, this issue happened. Honestly, this pretty much had the same appeal as most CMC related material. The story was meaningful and finale was sweet and heartwarming. But I frankly find the CMC dull before they got their cutie marks. But, that's just me.
I feel like the lesson is to never let your own desires get in the way of your friendships. Everything comes at its own pace eventually. Learn to appreciate what you have now and be more courteous of others and how they feel. And remember, patience is a virtue. Not a priority.
I'll admit that the issue was sweet for what it was. But it was still a bit dry for my taste. The CMC aren't exactly bad characters mind you. They just hit their peak a bit too late for my taste.
Alright! This concludes my review of Micro - Series #7. A sincere story that has a handful of feels, but a dry character focus. I recomnend it purely for the story. I give this issue a 7 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. Got a suggestion for a review? Leave it in below in the comments.
