Top 5 Things That can Make or Break a Movie

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today, we go over 5 key aspects to consider when making a film. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. Note that this list has no specific order. It's simply 5 facts I've hand selected for this entry. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

Film and cinema has been a large part of pop culture since the earl ages of media. Back then, films were usually black and white with no audio and was only shown in the theaters. These days the film industry is booming with countless genres of entertainment for the cinema and television. A lot of which take time and effort to produce. Today we look at 5 things that can mean the difference between a hollywood hit or a box office blunder. Like with all my top 5's this list is based purely on opinion and nothing more. If you wanna learn how to make films yourself I recommend you sign up for the right classes at your schools or visit your local library to learn more on the subject. With that said here are my Top 5 Things That Can Make or Break a movie:

1. The Opening-
Okay so getting the obvious out of the way the first important part is to have a good opening. The intro of the film helps to the pace and sets the scene from where the story usually starts. If it fails to draw the viewers attention then that's it. You've lost them as well as a good chunk of your ratings. Though on some occasion some films can make up for the loss depending on how the story progresses.

2. The Plot-
Before anyone makes a joke, no. I don't mean a ponies but. The plot of a film is mainly the story being told throughout the movie. And it can consist of many parts. One of the most important parts being the climax of the film. If the plot is engaging then it can easily attract a large viewer base in no time. If it's hard to follow or not entertaining enough then it usually drives viewers away. Which can result in a bad review and low ticket sales.

3. Characters-
One of the most important aspects of a film is its characters. A good character can usually be relatable by fans, inspirational, or just plain entertaining. A bad character can usually be the least popular, most unappealing, or just plain uninteresting. Depending on the cast you choose a film can be either good or bad.

4. Choreography-
All great actors have to be able to memorize the exact steps it takes to perform a specific scene. If the acting goes well the movie comes out more realistic and emotional. One wrong step though and the scene goes from the main screen to the blooper reel in the blink of an eye.

5. The Soundtrack-
Now this might be the last one on the list but it doesn't make it any less important. The soundtrack is a crucial part of the film as it adds to and enhances the mood of each scene or narration. The right song can turn any scene from boring to incredible with a single note. At the same time, however, if the film has way too many musical numbers or the usual background music is too dull then it can wreck the film depending on what genre it is. Regardless of how catchy the songs are.

Alright! This concludes todays top5. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates. This Culture Shock, your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond, saying KEEP CALM AND BRONY ON! PEACE!
