Cultures Contemplations: The Brony Community

HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium of Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Today we're discussing our favorite community as a whole and where its future is headed. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this blog is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?

The brony community is the surname given to the MLP fandom and its affiliates. The term " brony" is often used to describe a male member of the fandom. It can also be used as a universal label for all MLP fans. Though some still address the female equivelant as " pegasisters ". Today I'll be guving my thoughts on the community and explaining where I personally see the fandom going in the years that follow.

First let's start off with it's origins. The brony community began back during the first generation of MLP. Of course back then numbers were slim and few and far between were no older than grade school. Over the course the community has grown in size due to the shows widely successful popularity. Hitting its peak around the 3rd or 4th generation.

Aside from its numbers the fandom also boasts an array of both talented and creative content creators. Most of which range from musicians, artists, animators, and writers. All of which who contribute vast amounts of outstanding creations. I'll cover this more in a later entry. For now let's get back on topic.

As a whole, the brony community is at large the strongest internet collaboration to date. Growing in size daily with new and returning members being added.

Though strong in numbers its members are often mistreated and mislabeled by society. This in parts is due to negligible misunderstandings by otherwise misinformed social groups. This of course leads to unnecessary bullying and abuse from peers. Often ending in tragic suicides.

Though the waters are rough I feel that personally the fandom at its core is strong enough to weather any hardships. Whether it be social criticism or whatever else may come the fandom will continue living and growing each day. Even after the shows final episodes.

Alright! This concludes my thoughts on the brony community. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Be sure to leave a like if you did. Also, don't forget to follow us for more updates.
