My Top 5 Brony Musicians
HELLOOO and welcome to Cultures Compendium Reviews! As always, I am Culture Shock. Your guide to all things cultural in Equestria and beyond. Turn up the volume and get ready to jam as we look at 5 of my favorite brony music artists in todays top5. Before we begin, let's review the rules. First off, all content within this is expressly the opinion of its author. It does not, nor should it ever, reflect the overall opinion of the fandom. Lastly, if any of you notice any mistakes, be it typos or otherwise, don't hesitate to let me know. As a bonus, this list will not be in a specific order and should not be taken as such. With that said, let's begin. Shall we?
Since the dawn of time music has been a popular and expressionistic artform. Musicians, or artists, would spend long periods of time pouring their all into a tapestry of rhythm and sound. And regardless of its form the wonderful pieces they create would inspire millions of fans globally. Similarly, musicians will often create fan songs for popular mainstream media like My Little Pony. Here is a last of 5 of my all time favorite brony artists:
1. Mic The Microphone-
Mostly known as the communities first major musician Mic is a talented brony rapper / livestreamer on youtube and Twitch. Mic is best known for his collaborations with other big names lik Wooden Toaster and TheLivingTombstone. His biggest hit, Nightmare Night, was based off the first Luna episode "Luna Eclipsed". Also, rumor has it Mic was also signed to perform the intro for the Disney series Pac Man and The Ghostly Adventures.
2. Wooden Toaster-
Wooden Toaster, or Glaze as he prefers, is a British born artist known primarily for his instrumental contributions and electronic style tracks. Although he is male in origin his OC is actually female in nature. Notably because of his dislike of how Hasbro designed stallions. Some of his biggest hits include " Nightmare Night ", a collaboration with Mic The Microphone, and " Love Me Cheerilee", yet another collaboration only with The Living Tombstone.
3. The Living Tombstone-
Although not primarily a brony musician. This artist still qualifies for this list. Most known for his clever remixes this artist has been featured prominantly on Equestria Daily. A majority of his works were collaborations with other well known artists like Wooden Toaster, Mic the Microphone, and Rina Chan. Sadly, as of 2015 The Living Tombstone has since moved on from MLP related content but continues to make amazing content for other popular media.
4. BlackGryph0n-
A former US navy sailor BlackGryph0n, or Gabriel Brown, is a popular artist of many talents. Most known for his incredible Dubstep masterpieces Gabriel is also known for his collaborations with Michelle Creber, the voice actor for Apple Bloom. Some of his famous creations include such gems as his cover of Michael Jacksons " Beat It ", " Proud to be a Brony ", and " RUN ".
5. Ponyphonic-
Okay I had to mention this artist. Although they're song list is short that hasn't made them any less impactful to the fandom. His songs " The Moon Rises " and " Lullaby for a Princess " were two of the most popular pieces in brony culture. And have remained so to this day.
