Cultures Contemplations: Bullying and How it Effects You

Today we're setting aside the kid gloves as we tackle a serious issue effecting the world today. Before we begin, let's review the rules. In todays society suicide is at an all time high. The leading cause of it? Bullying. Whether online or in real life harrassment has become a corruptive problem in the world.

Bullying over the years has evolved into multiple abusive forms. Physical, verbal, psychological. Each of them leaving behind their own wounds. And always at the expense of others.

Growing up I was always subjected to harsh abuse from my peers. Whether it was for my appearance, my mentality, or anything else I was harrassed for it. It wasn't ever easy to live through. In fact it still isn't. But nothing in life ever is.

Fighting through a life of abusive torment can be agonizing I know. But suicide should never be the answer. You CAN get help if you try. Speak out, meet others in your community, or even just talk to your local therapist / counselor about it. Taking your own life only makes it worse for you and the people who do care about you. No matter what, always remember that you are loved. And that there is always something, or someone, worth living for.
