Land of the Lost(2009)

Land of the Lost was an action comedy sci - fi film made in 2009 by Universal Pictures. In collaboration with Relativity Media, Sid and Marty Krofft Pictures, and Mosaic Media Group. A parody of the 70's TV series, it starred the likes of Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, and Anna Friel. Though a bit satirical in style the film followed the same storyline.

I loved this film. Granted it wasn't quite what the producers originally planned but it's still worth it for the laughs. Primarily what you get with most Will Ferrell films.

Unlike the original TV series the film seemed focus less on the original Sci - Fi aspect and more on the jokes and less on the action. Possibly why it recieved so many negative reviews.

The sad part of it is how even Universal Studios president, Ron Meyer, passed the film as "crap". I feel what mainly killed this film was bad editing, crappy writing, timing, and misdirection. In short, a classic case of right place, wrong time.

Alright! This concludes my review. A decent movie with on point comedy. I recommend this only for the laughs. I give Land of the Lost an 8.5 / 10. Hope you guys enjoyed this review.
